I realised I have been cooking actively for one month, trying to come up with balanced and healthy meals, and totally forgot about prawns. They are a fantastic source of proteins, very low in calories and can be cooked with spices, fruits, vegetables etc.. For today’s recipe I took inspiration from Asia with a sweet and savoury combination.
For 4 people :
12 extra-large Tiger Prawns (16 if smaller), peeled
2 shallots
100g honey, liquid
1 lemon, juiced
4tbs sesame seeds
1tbs sesame oil
In a frying pan or a wok (best option), heat the sesame oil. Cook the shallots and the prawns. Add the lemon juice and cook at low heat until the lemon has evaporated.
Add the honey and sesame seeds and cook until caramelised.
To drink with: Riesling
To eat with: White rice, noodles or bok choy
